WRITING
as a journalist, i am most interested in process and context. i’ve written longform pieces for diydancer magazine, trash mag, la dance chronicle, usc glorya kaufman school of dance, and usc school of dramatic arts. i aim to make the arts criticism space aware of its whiteness — my work encourages readers to understand their values and biases in the inherently european proscenium, then to understand and celebrate the context involved in artmaking by bipoc artists.
i also write copy and marketing material where necessary, and have edited works for publication, including moncell durden’s beginning hip-hop dance.
